The Spiral Arm Collective - Issue #1

I thought of this story quite a long time ago but never worked it out fully. It works much better as a graphic novel. This took about 40 hours of trail and error (lots of error) feeding a script to Chat GPT. In the end I needed to describe every panel and page break and feed it just one page at a time. There was a production script in the beginning and I created the images for the characters ahead of time to keep them consistent. Chat will run away with the dialog and world budling unless it has very detailed instructions.

Trip of a lifetime for an event of a lifetime. One of the many places I have always wanted to visit is Lake Louise in Alberta Canada. Ever since the very first time I heard of it I wanted to go. Retired at 55 - My Experiment in Early Retirement

Five weeks into retirement and I've finally slowed down enough to do the thing I promised myself I would do day one. Sort through my box of memories. I can not tell you how many times I was asked how long it will take to be bored in retirement. Multiple times by a few friends and family. My close friends never asked. They already knew the answer. Maybe some perspective is in order. I first conceived of the notion of retiring at 55 when I was 25. My boss at the time told me exactly how to accomplish this goal and it made perfect sense. He died of cancer and never really got to live the dream he helped me visualize. My first hard look at the fragility of life.    I had some annual financial goals in mind to make this happen. Chimney Rock, North Carolina will always be a mystical, magical place in my life. When my parents decided to move to Florida from Pennsylvania in 1978, I was in no way enthusiastic about it. Even though I've lived near the beach all these many years, I still feel more at home in the mountains. After I graduated college in 1982,  I was well on my way to launching my career a few years later. I decided to take my parents on a little vacation. I was making some pretty good money, no college debt, and living at home so I was banking most of it. We traveled up Florida, Georgia, and went as far north as this park in North Carolina.
