Gardyloo Sisters

Over the years I have come to know many performers. I have seen these ladies around the fair grounds for a few years in various roles but teamed up as the Gardyloo Sisters, they have created a hilarious new act. It is never easy starting out and these excellent entertainers are most assuredly starting at the "bottom". Their show is a must see - next performance is the first weekend of FLARF.

After many years and many tries - I finally managed a perfectly timed photo of the Joust at the Florida Renaissance Festival. My newer, faster camera should make shots like this easier but this was my first.

Know your Subject

I walked down to the rail to take this shot. Then I returned to my seat beyond the splash zone to get the audience reaction to the next act. It's always good to know your subject before shooting.
